Identification and management of bacterial diseases of cucurbits

Illinois has six bacterial diseases in cucurbits: angular leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans), bacterial fruit blotch (Acidovorax avenae subsp. citrulli), bacterial spot (Xanthomonas cucurbitae), bacterial rind necrosis (Erwinia spp.), bacterial wilt (Erwinia tracheiphila), and cucurbit yellow vine (Serration marcencens).

This tent display will detail research conducted by Mohammad Babadoost, Professor of crop science. A summary is also available in our 2011 Program (pages 42-43).
