The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA, www.ilsoy.org) and the National Soybean Research Laboratory (NSRL, www.nsrl.illinois.edu) at the University of Illinois strive to facilitate research spanning the soybean industry. Rapid developments in soybean science and technology are changing the way we do research in the areas of soybean productivity and genetic improvement, crop management, processing, animal feed, food, nutrition, biofuels, and human health. Program highlights include the World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH, www.wishh.org), Soybean Premiums (www.soybeanpremiums.org), and an exciting new collaborative project the Yield Challenge (www.soyyieldchallenge.org), which challenges growers, students, and agribusinesses to make Illinois the global leader for soybean yields by testing innovative practices.
